Observer New Review On My Radar - Penny Woolcock mentions Rough Aunties as film to watch:
“This documentary is about a group of South African women who set out to rescue children from abuse. The stories are horrific, but the love and optimism of the women, many of them survivors themselves, give you hope that these children will find a way of living.”
Penny Woolcock, a filmmaker and newly-awarded a Grierson award winner, premieres her latest work, On the Streets at BFI Southbank on 1 Nov.

"It stirs many feelings of frusttration and yet throughout all the tears and anger and evident pain, there is ultimately a sense of hope. Every child and woman is helped to rethink and transform themselves as survivors, not as victims." Click here for more.
